Tulum season is officially wrapped.
Before moving on, it felt right to pause, say thank you, and capture the last few weeks while they remain sharp, before they fade into highlights and retellings.
This run started earlier than most realize, far from Tulum.
Carneiros
Dec 24 to Jan 2
Carneiros is not easy. The infrastructure still feels like Tulum in 2014: raw, beautiful, unforgiving if you arrive without patience.
The first day and a half tested everyone. Travel fatigue, timing issues, logistics friction. Nothing unexpected, but enough to rattle you without the right mindset.
Then the first night arrived.
Walking into that opening event with Rufus, everything shifted. The friction dissolved. The noise fell away. Carneiros locked in from that moment.
The New Year’s crowd was the best I have ever experienced. The afters were large, chaotic, yet somehow controlled. Brazil knows how to move energy. The rhythm carried us on little sleep and long days. Twenty thousand steps became normal. Everyone there felt it instantly.
That set the tone.
Day Zero Brazil
Jan 2 to Jan 4
Some of us went straight from Carneiros to Day Zero Brazil, deeper into the country.
That was not just another stop. It felt like a beginning.
More than a few called it the best Day Zero they had ever experienced: intimate, intentional, likely the last time it feels this close before it grows.
There was no rush. No excess. Just alignment.
You could feel something had shifted.
Tulum
Jan 4 to Jan 12
Then came Tulum. Full volume.
Day Zero Tulum was the peak. No debate. The kind of night that explains why people cross continents for this season.
Ahau felt grounded again. Soulful. Real dance-floor energy.
Papaya Playa brought back the old-school feeling many remember and miss.
Be Tulum and Nomade delivered what they always do: unannounced moments, barefoot dancing in the sand, artists like WhoMadeWho and Adriatique lighting up the night without spectacle.
Zamna did what Zamna does. Night after night. Fifteen thousand plus moving as one.
But the moments that stay with you are rarely the ones that get posted.
Private villa afters. Casa Malca nights stretching into morning. Unannounced shifts. Surprise artists appearing quietly, without hype or warning.
Special thanks to Rami (Bedouin), Moun, Kimonos, Marco, and Vintage for shaping several of those villa afters and Malca nights in ways that were intimate, restrained, and unforgettable.
What Made It Special
It was not the scale.
It was not the names.
It was the people.
Smiles everywhere. Strangers becoming friends in minutes. A genuinely open international mix: US, Europe, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Germany, Poland.
Everyone welcome. Everyone present.
If you were part of it, thank you. You helped create the energy.
If you missed it, this is why people keep asking afterward: what just happened, and when can we do join?
What’s Next
The movement does not stop. It just changes locations.
Over the next few months, this group will surface where it makes sense, when it feels right, without forcing anything.
Upcoming moments worth paying attention to:
Kayne West, Mexico City, Jan 30
Zona Maco, Mexico City, Feb 5 to Feb 9
Rio Carnaval, Feb 13 to Feb 23
EDC Mexico City, Feb 19 to Feb 22
SXM Festival, St Martin, Mar 18 to Mar 22
Miami Music Week, Mar 24 to Mar 29
Coachella Weekend 1, Apr 8 to Apr 12
Black Coffee at the Aztec Pyramids, Mexico City, Apr 18
Some will be loud. Some will be quiet. If you know, you know.
If you have been wondering how these trips take shape, or why certain moments feel different, stay close. That is where the signal shows up first.
If you want to stay plugged into what’s coming next, request details or message us to be included. No blasts. No noise. Just real signals when something is worth moving on.
Appreciate you being here.
Luis
